A more interesting post than before :)

THE LITTLE PRINCESS IS THE BEST FILM IN THE WORLD.

I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it!

But seriously, what an amazing film. Oh how I want to be a kid again, I loathe being officially an adult. I mean, why can't we all be princesses and dance around in pretty dresses and eat yummy food? Well, not such a bad idea actually, it doesn't sound too different from what I am like now :) This film gives me an idea for a photo shoot. Oh how many ideas to I have and never pursue them! No, this time I will. In Australia, yeah :) Yes that's right, I am officially moving to Australia for 6 whole months. Go me!

Anyway, back to the subject. I love this film because it is so magical yet challenges realism and it makes little girls feel like princesses :) Which I did, even though I was a tree-climbing and frog-collecting tom boy as a kid. It's a blissful children's fantasy which is so sweet and cute that I just want to eat it. My favourite quote from the film is said by Sara's father when he states ""You are my little princess," N'aw.

Death due to exams

I have my last exam tomorrow. TOMORROW. And yes, I shouldn't be writing this... I should be revising. But no, not me. I'm too easily distracted. I'm constantly looking for an excuse to not revise, my favourite one is "oh look I'm hungry, let's go and eat", eating turns into watching t.v, t.v leads to watching MORE t.v and then 3 hours later, I'm still NOT revising.

Ah well? Who needs English anyway? I DO. I have all these stupid little papers spread around my room which I just look at, dazed. I probably spend more time dazing out of the window than actually sitting down to revise. It's bad. I need to stop day dreaming, that's what! I am very aware that this is boring. Apologies :)

Blanche DuBois

I adore Blanche DuBois, the main character from Tennessee William' A Street Car Named Desire. I've been studying this play all year, and she just fascinated me. Her character is so beautiful, inside and out. The way she cannot replace fantasy with reality; she hides away from the truth, escaped from it to avoid pain. I love how she dresses up in all sorts of clothes, attempting to re-boost her Southern Belle past. She's labelled as the 'fading Southern Belle'. Last year they were reshowing the play with Rachel Weisz playing the part of Blanche. Me and my friend travelled all the way to the theatre in London to see it, but to our luck, there were no more tickets! I was so annoyed because Rachel Weisz is my favourite actress! She's so beautiful and she's an amazing actress, the parts she plays are always unexpected, which is what I love. Take The Mummy for instance, who would have thought she'd be playing Evelyn? Such an awful film, but I loved it :)
Yes, as you can see I have this undoubted love for films. I must watch at least one film a day. I love how films enable you to escape reality! Just like Blanche :) Yes, I know I am a little cheesy!

Pleasantville

I just watched this film for the first time since I was seven years old. It is such a good film, well, okay it is a bit 'cheesy' as it were, but who doesn't enjoy these films? I loved it. It's basically about a geeky brother and... not so geeky sister who end up 'falling' through the tv screen into the popular old tv programme called 'Pleaseantville', where everything is, well, pleasant. Everything is also completely colour blind, there is no danger (no fire, no murders etc), it's just, pleasant. It's also very stereotypical; the husband comes home from work at six pm everynight, walks through the door, hangs his coat and puts his briefcase down and shouts, "hunnie, I'm home!", and dinner is on the plate and the family wait for the father to sit down. It's so silly but I love it. Anyway, this brother and sister turn into the main characters of Bud and Marie-Sue. Jennifer, who has turned into 'Marie-Sue becomes a little rebellious since she does NOT want to be in this silly little town. So, she teaches her friends and her 'boyfriend' how to get jiggy with it and changes the whole of Pleasantville, ahh! And then they all turn colour and live happily every after, blah blah blah. Watch it :)

Anyway, the point of this post is because there is something I also adored about this film, and that was the fashion. Seriously, the fashion. The cute little sweaters; collars, long retro skirts with long socks and sensible shoes, so adorable.

Look at this outfit, inspired by the film. Enjoy.

I'm thinking about doing a shoot based on this aaamazing movie. Hmm.

Vote for me!!

Please vote for me on this contest! I will be much appreciated :)

Ballad of... magazine

I should have posted about this magazine before because it is just amazing what they are doing. They basically showcase amazing aspiring artist's work in their magazine to show everyone how amazingly talented people are and help these artists with their difficult journeys into the challenging business. I am definitely going to do a shoot for this magazine after my exams. They give you a theme to work with and you basically just send in your work. I sent clips of my work to them a while ago (at the wrong time unfortunately) but they liked my work so they featured me on their feature page. So, not only are they amazing, but they are also very nice!

Stuff I absolutely need for my holiday!

You see, I'm going on holiday with my friends in less than a month and I have found all these pretty little garments which I literally MUST have. Look how pretty they are! I'm going to post them on here to remind myself to GET SOME MONEY and buy all of this.

Also, I have my Sixth form leaver's prom, also in less than a month. So I have found the PERFECT outfit for the event. What do you think?

I want THAT dress, with that lovely red lipstick and the beautiful hooped necklace to go with it. I also want those lovely vintage style shoes and I want my hair exactly like that picture :) Not too much to ask!

A little inspiration

These are some photographs I have collected over the past year which have inspired me, and I think are amazing. As for where I collected them and which artists they belong to, I haven't a clue, sorry! Going to post them on here to save memory on my little laptop! Enjoy. x
